Adsorptive air conditioning.

Summary

Experimental results on an adsorptive air conditioning unit using sodiumX-water 2-adsorber cycle are presented. Mass transfer limitations are observed. However, an improved consolidated material should overcome these mass transfer limitations. An analysis of the perspectives of adsorptive air conditioning is presented. Adsorptive air conditioning is very promising for waste heat air conditioning whatever the COP, provided the cycle can operate at low enough regenerating temperature. Adsorptive air conditioning is also promising for gas fired air conditioning provided the COP is high enough.
