Study on a double-effect four-bed cascade adsorption refrigeration cycle capable of COP over 1.1.

Author(s) : WANG R. Z., TAN Z. C.

Summary

A double-effect four-bed cascading adsorption refrigeration cycle is proposed, in which zeolite/water-zeolite/water or zeolite/water-silica gel/water are suggested as the working pairs, the high temperature stage (typically 100-200 °C) is cascaded with the low temperature stage (typically 35-100 °C) in which generation to the low temperature stage is initiated by the cooling process of the adsorber in the high temperature stage. Each stage is a typically double-beds heat regenerative adsorption cycle. The simulated COP for air conditioning is over 1.1.
