Advanced absorption cycles for low temperature applications.

Summary

The aim of this article is to compare five different designs of absorption systems used to obtain low evaporating temperatures (as low as -50 °C). Cascade water/lithium bromide systems and ammonia/water systems, resorption cycles and generator/absorber (GAX) exchangers etc. are envisaged. All these cycles are shown in a Dühring diagram.
