ADVANCED TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS IN COMBINED REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT.

Author(s) : AMODIO U.

Summary

THANKS TO AN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION, RESULTS WERE OBTAINED ABOUT THE NATURE AND THE ENTITY OF THERMAL EXCHANGES OCCURRING IN THE LOAD, THE CIRCULATING AIR AND THE VEHICLE WALLS DURING THE TRANSPORT OF PERISHABLES UNDER CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE. A SALIENT ROLE IS PLAYED BY CIRCULATED AIR, FOR WHICH PROVISIONS FOR THE CORRECT OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE WERE ENVISAGED. A PROTOTYPE WAS DEVELOPED WITH LIGHTWEIGHT, MAXIMUM LOADING CAPACITY, REDUCED AGEING AND A MUCH HIGHER OPERATING EFFICIENCY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF PERISHABLES AND ALSO AIRTIGHTNESS.
