Summary
The tendency to use design programs to select heat exchangers instead of using catalogues is increasing day by day. These programs, however, use different methods for the calculation of the capacities, and for the selection of suitable equipment. In the selection program presented here, every capacity is calculated with a fully thermodynamic calculation method. Heat transfer coefficients, pressure losses, air outlet temperatures, etc. are all calculated using the correct material data.
