THE INTERNAL COOLING METHOD FOR CHECKING THE INSULATION OF EQUIPMENTS HAS LATELY NO MORE BEEN USED IN EUROPE, BECAUSE OF THE UNSATISFACTORY ACCURATE MEASUREMENT OF THE SUPPLIED REFRIGERATING ENERGY. THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE AN IMPROVED MEASURING DEVICE, DEVELOPPED BY UNITRANS AND ITEF(?U14CNR OF PADUA, MAKING THE COOLING METHOD SUFFICIENTLYACCURATE AND WHICH HAS THE ADVANTAGES OF SHORTENING THE OVERALL TEST DURATION AND ALLOWS AN APPRECIABLE ENERGY SAVING WITH RESPECT TO THE PRESENT TIME CURRENTLY USED INTERNAL HEATING METHOD.
