Summary
A solution involving continuous variation of the rotational speed of the fans of an air cooler must make it possible to minimize energy consumption and reduce the radiated acoustic power. Hourly simulations of the operation of an air cooler coupled to an air conditioning system of an office building with variable and then constant thermal load, made it possible to define a range of variation of the fan speed from 1 to 10 with most often a maximum of 5. For a cooling coil there is an optimal fan power which is highly dependent on its location.
