Summary

Presents a 2,500 m2 building recently converted by the Louvre museum in Paris for the transient storage of certain works of art, located in the commuter belt of Paris. In this former single volume industrial building, three different zones have been created: zone 1 for fine furniture, temperature: 16 to 20 deg C, hyrgometry: 45 to 55%; zone 2 for fabrics, papers and clothes, temperature: 15 to 22 deg C, hygrometry: 45 to 55%; zone 3 for metals and pottery, temperature: 10 to 25 deg C, hygrometry: 6 to 40%. The paper describes in detail the air conditioning system installed to obtain these conditions. In conclusion the paper presents the results obtained since 1991, which comply with the design conditions. Y.G.
