Summary

STATES THAT WITH THE CULTIVATION OF MUSHROOMS IN GROWING ROOMS, THE METABOLIC PRODUCTS SHOULD BE DISCHARGED EVENLY FROM THE BEDS TO MAINTAIN THE DESIRED MICROCLIMATE ALL OVER THE ROOM. THIS IS POSSIBLE ONLY WITH ANEVENLY DISTRIBUTED AIR FLOW OVER THE BEDS. IN PRACTICE, PERFORATED POLYETHYLENE SLEEVES ARE OFTEN USED FOR AIR DISTRIBUTION INSIDE THE GROWING ROOMS. STATES THAT WHEN THESE SLEEVES ARE USED INDISCRIMINATELY, THE UNEVEN AIR DISTRIBUTION WHICH IS CREATED CAN HAVE NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE PRODUCTION AND QUALITY OF THE MUSHROOMS. DESCRIBES HOW A COMPUTER MODEL HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED WHICH SHOWS GRAPHICALLY BLOW PATTERNS AND THE AIR DISTRIBUTION. REPORTS THE RESULTS OF TESTS OF THE MODEL IN PRACTICE.
