Summary
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., has now developed its MMA series of air handling units for cruise vessels. By adopting sandwich-type construction panels arranged with mineral-wool between SUS plates for heat insulation and corrosion resistance, and by devising the unique frame construction for anti-condensation, improving serviceability by application of slide rail construction and several inspection windows, and use of other new equipment, the company has been able to acquire the approval of the shipowner P&O Princess Cruises. The delivery of this air-handling unit is planned to start in July, 2001 and a total of 88 units will be shipped successively.
