The present trend is to protect the product as much as possible and only if it is sensitive to airborne contaminants. The author presents three solutions for affording close protection: "multiduct" protection; protection using horizontal jets; and a wide range of means of providing very close protection that can be adapted for each equipment/product pair to be protected.
