Summary

A THERMOMETER WITHIN A FARM BULK TANK FOR COOLING MILK IS CONNECTED TO AN ALARM WHICH SOUNDS IF THE TEMPERATURE IN THE TANK EXCEEDS A PREDETERMINED VALUE. THE DEVICE CAN BE SWITCHED OFF WHEN MILK IS BEING DISCHARGED OR WHEN THE TANK IS BEING CLEANED. THE SWITCH IS OVERRIDDEN WHEN FRESH MILK IS BEING INTRODUCED INTO THE TANK, AND THE ALARM SOUNDS IF THE MILK IS NOT COOLED TO THE REQUIRED TEMPERATURE, WITHIN A PREDETERMINED PERIOD. (DAIRY SCI.
