Type of article: Article
Summary
This paper reports on the initial phase of an investigation concerning the possibilities of designing a small capacity (<10 kW) heat pump or refrigeration system, using ammonia as refrigerant. The investigation includes a market search for suitable components. The system is designed to mimic typical domestic heat pumps on the Swedish market. In the design, special attention is paid to minimization of the refrigerant charge and material compatibility.
