Summary
The present study develops an index technique to take into account the effect of complex circuitry on the design of fin-and-tube heat exchangers. A 4-index array technique is described in detail that is capable of handling complex circuitry up to second-order level. In addition, a complete modelling of the performance of an evaporator is made. For the performance of evaporations without curved configuration, the proposed model can give good calculations with the experimental data.
