IIR document
An ammonia refrigerator with an absorption circuit as economizer.
Author(s) : ZIEGLER F., SPINDLER U.
Type of article: Article, IJR article
Summary
The paper describes the operation and the performance of a hybrid compression-absorption cycle with the working pair ammonia-water. A simple compression cycle is supplemented by a small ammonia-water absorption machine driving its boiler with superheat from compressor discharge gases, and subcooling the liquid ammonia of the compression circuit before expansion by its absorber.
