Summary

In order to apply a dynamic-type ice storage system to district cooling and heating systems, the effects of the ice content and mass flow rate of supplying ice-slurry on the ice storing characteristics in a tank were investigated by experiments and analyses. The analytical results could express the experimental results about stored ice quantity. The analytical model is considered to be applicable to the prediction of the ice storing characteristics and to the design of an ice storage tank.
