Summary

THE MAIN FEATURE IS TO MOUNT THREE RADIATION SHIELDS IN THE CRYOSTAT FOR ADVANCING THE WORKING TEMPERATURE. THE MOLAR HEAT CAPACITY OF ALPHA-ALUMINA HAS BEEN MEASURED IN ORDER TO ASSESS THE RELIABILITY OF THE CALORIMETER. DEVIATIONS OF THE EXPERIMENTAL HEAT CAPACITIES FROM THE SMOOTHED CURVE ARE WITHIN + OR -0.3% EXCEPT FOR A FEW EXPERIMENTAL POINTS. THE RESULTS AGREE WITH THOSE OF THE NBS, USA, WITHIN + OR -0.3%.
