IIR document

An economic method for evaluating the performance of refrigerant-oil pairings.

Summary

The objective of the work is the development of an economic method for evaluating the performance of refrigerants in terms of COP and evaporative heat transfer behaviour simultaneously in a single stage process. The importance of refrigerant-oil pairings is recognised and discussed. The method is demonstrated by making use of data for R22, R134a and two non-azeotropic blends, all paired with a polyester oil.
