Lubricants for natural working fluids.
Author(s) : WATSON M. C., OBERLE J. E., RAJEWSKI T. E.
Summary
The trend towards the use of alternative refrigerants has increased the evaluation of new system designs for natural refrigerants. Improved heat transfer and optimized system designs often require the use of new lubricant technology to maximize operational efficiency. Lubricants have been developed for improved properties with carbon dioxide, ammonia and hydrocarbon refrigerants. Miscibility, solubility and low temperature fluidity are critical parameters for the lubricants in these applications.
