AN EXACT SOLUTION OF THE DESUBLIMATION PROBLEM IN A POROUS MEDIUM.
Author(s) : LIN S.
Type of article: Article
Summary
DESUBLIMATION PROCESS TAKING PLACE IN A RIGID, SOLID, POROUS HALF-SPACE IS DEFINED. EXACT SOLUTIONS FOR THE FROZEN MOISTURE CONCENTRATION, THE TEMPERATURE AND MOISTURE DISTRIBUTIONS AS WELL AS THE LOCATION OF THE MOVING DESUBLIMATION FRONT ARE OBTAINED. THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE DESUBLIMATION PROCESS IS THAT THERE EXISTS A DISCONTINUITY OF THE MOISTURE CONCENTRATION ACROSS THE MOVING DESUBLIMATION FRONT, AND THAT THE FROZEN MOISTURE CONCENTRATION IS ALWAYS HIGHER THAN THE VAPOUR CONCENTRATION.
