Summary
Heat transfer coefficients and pressure drop were experimentally determined for a horizontal micro-fin tube with HC-290/oil mixtures. The results show that the mean evaporation heat transfer coefficients on the test section increased as the mass flux and quality of vapour-liquid mixture increased, but decreased as the oil concentrations were increased and evaporation temperature had negligible effect on the heat transfer coefficients. Moreover, the pressure drop on the test section increased as the mass flux of mixture increased, and it increased more quickly than that of smooth tube, but the quality of oil had a negligible effect on the pressure drop.
