Experimental tests of a gas fired adsorptive air conditioning system.

Summary

An adsorption thermal machine has been studied, built and tested. It utilizes two uniform temperature adsorbent beds in a cycle that incorporates both heat and mass recovery. It uses the zeolite-water pair. The adsorbent bed is a cylinder of a new consolidated composite material. The use of new consolidated materials allows the volume of the adsorbers to be reduced by a factor of 3 and the cooling power of the machine to be increased by a factor of 5. The cycle time is 30 minutes. The experimental results of a cycle are presented and analysed.
