Summary

The geometry of the test section varied in fin pitch to height ratios in fin width to height ratios, and with two inner diameter to outer diameter ratios. Reynolds numbers of the flow were 100-3000. To gather detailed information regarding the flow and heat transfer measurements, flow visualization as well as qualitative information of thermal fields using holographic techniques were made and analyzed. Results are presented for a range of Reynolds number and for various values of the geometrical parameters. The experimental data were extracted and correlated in the form of Graetz number to provide a thermal design basis for engineering application.
