Summary

AN IMPROVED TECHNIQUE IS PRESENTED FOR THE PULSE TREATMENT OF NIOBIUM MICROBRIDGES, IN ORDER TO CONTROL THE CRITICAL FLOW OF THE BRIDGE. AFTER IMMERSION IN A LIQUID HELIUM BATH, THE PRESSURE VARIATION/INTENSITY RATIO CAN BE VISUALISED DIRECTLY ON A CRT SCREEN. THIS GIVES EFFICIENCY AND YIELD. THE DESIGN OF THE ELECTRONIC DEVICE USED IS DESCRIBED. THE STEPS OF THE STUDY AND THE RESULTS ARE GIVEN. A HYBRID SQUID WAS MADE BY USING TREATED NIOBIUM MICROBRIDGES.
