EMPHASIS IS LAID ON THE PERFORMANCE OF AN ABSORPTION UNIT OPERATING UNDER WASTE HEAT ENERGY INPUT. AN APPROACH TO OPTIMISE THE CONCENTRATION OF REFRIGERANT-ABSORBENT COMBINATION, WITH WHICH THE UNIT MUST BE CHARGED IS ALSO ESTABLISHED. AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF PUMPING THE STRONG SOLUTION, USING THERMAL ENERGY, IS DISCUSSED.
