DEVELOPMENT OF AN ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION UNIT UTILIZING LOW GRADE HEAT.

Author(s) : BORDE I., YARON I., JELINEK M.

Summary

THE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF NEW REFRIGERANT MIXTURES WERE MEASURED EXPERIMENTALLY AND THEIR ENTHALPY-CONCENTRATION CHARTS WERE DRAWN. OPTIMUM COMBINATIONS WERE SELECTED FROM ALL PERFORMANCE CRITERIA WITH A SIMULATION MODEL. THE TESTS SHOWED THAT TEMPERATURES OF 288 TO 263 K (15 TO -10 DEG C) AT THE EVAPORATOR CAN BE OBTAINED WITH A HEAT SOURCE AT 348-363 K (75-90 DEG C).
