HEAT AND REFRIGERATION LOADS IN SLAUGHTERHOUSES BY USE OF AMMONIA-WATER ABSORPTION UNITS.

Summary

AMMONIA-WATER ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING SYSTEMS CAN USE PRIMARY HEAT. IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE COP, SOLAR ENERGY CAN BE USED. THE AUTHORS PRESENT THE POSSIBLE OPERATION OF AN AMMONIA-WATER ABSORPTION SYSTEM IN A SLAUGHTERHOUSE IN GREECE, WITH A SUBCOOLER IN ORDER TO PRODUCE COOLING AND HEATING SIMULTANEOUSLY. THE RESULTS OF THE THERMODYNAMIC ANALYSIS ARE PRESENTED IN DIAGRAMS AND IT IS SHOWN THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO OBTAIN SIGNIFICANT ENERGY SAVING.
