The paper examines the relationships between oil concentration in an oil-refrigerant mixture, temperature and the speed of sound. Different mixtures are studied (R12, R134a, 3GS, 5GS oils, ester oil). Correlations are developed. The accuracy of calculation is given as well as the influence of pressure.
