An unmixed-air flow model of a spiral coil cooling dehumidifying unit.

Type of article: Article
Summary
A theoretical model has been developed based on the assumption that the air is unmixed as it flows past each spiral coil turn. Experiments on a laboratory model of the spiral coil unit were conducted and the results obtained confirmed the theoretical predictions. Performance charts of enthalpy effectiveness and humidity ratio effectiveness vs number of transfer units suitable for air-handler unit design have also been presented.
