Summary
Addresses the energy use in the building services of the industrial sector by closely examining and analysing energy use in two industrial facilities in California. Concludes that the lighting and HVAC energy-use characteristics of high-tech industries and their conservation potentials are very much comparable to those of office buildings. Estimates from simulations that more than 50% of electricity and gas use can be saved cost-effectively.
