Summary
The authors analyze the complicated process of heat and mass transfer inside an indirect-contact gas hydrate cool-storage tank. The article reveals that condensation, evaporation and hydration are combined and mutually-influenced processes. The key to acceleration of hydration and intensification of the cool storage is to enhance the condensation in the gas layer and to use surface-active additives to reduce the size of rising bubbles.
