THE AUTHORS EXAMINED WHETHER CE7 ANTIGEN SHEDDING WAS INHIBITE D BY X-IRRADIATIONOR CRYOSURGERY. THEIR RESULTS SUGGESTED THAT 30 GRAYS IRRADIATION ENHANCED THE CE7 ANTIGEN EXPRESSION ON A3 AND KMT-17 CELLS, AND THAT THESE CE7 ANTIGEN EXPRESSING CELLS CAN STIMULATE THE HOSTS' ANTITUMOUR IMMUNITY.
