Summary
PERFORMANCES OF CYCLES AT 623-723 K (350-450 DEG C), UTILIZING AROMATIC COMPOUNDS (PER-, PENTA-, CHLOROPENTA-AND BROMOPENTAFLUOROBENZENE), HAVE BEEN ANALYZED. A GENERALIZED CALCULATION PROCEDURE HAS BEEN EMPLOYED. THE ANALYZED CYCLES EFFICIENCIES ARE ALWAYS RATHER HIGH EVEN WITH MODERATE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES AND HIGH CONDENSATION ONES: AROUND 30% FOR ALL CYCLES WORKING BETWEEN 333 AND 673 K (60 AND 400 DEG C). THE CYCLE QUALITY CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVES. BROMOPENTAFLUOROBENZENE SHOWS SUCH VAPOUR PRESSURE AS TO CAUSE PROBLEMS AT LOW TEMPERATURE CONDENSATIONS, AND, ON THE OTHER HAND, STRICT RESTRAINTS EXIST WITH REGARDS TO ITS THERMAL STABILITY.
