THE FLAT PLATE SOLAR COLLECTOR WITH A SELECTIVE SURFACE IS CAPABLE OF PROVIDING THERMAL ENERGY UP TO 368 K (95 DEG C). THE AUTHOR PRESENTS A HEAT TRANSFORMER WHICH IS CAPABLE OF EXTENDING THE OPERATING TEMPERATURE TO 423 K (150 DEG C), A TEMPERATURE WHICH CAN APPARENTLY PROVIDE 28% OF INDUSTRIAL HEATING REQUIREMENTS. THE OPERATING PRINCIPLE IS BASED UPON THE PROPERTIES OF A SALT-WATER SOLUTION.
