Application of a mixed refrigerant cycle for hydrocarbon gas cleaning.
Author(s) : LISS W., WURM J., SCHUSTR P., et al.
Summary
This paper describes the design of a low temperature technology using a mixed refrigerant cycle cooling system coupled with a special heat exchanger that enables a continual gaseous fuel refrigeration cleaning process. Impurities, such as water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and higher hydrocarbons are frozen out in the heat exchanger and are mechanically removed. Results of the initial tests are presented.
