Summary

THE OBJECTIVE IS TO DEVELOP GASEOUS PERMEABLE MEMBRANES ADAPTE D TO THE DEHYDRATION OF NATURAL GAS, PARTICULARLY FOR OFFSHORE GAS. THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MEMBRANES ADAPTED TO THIS APPLICATION ARE DISCUSSED, WITH A REFERENCE TO A TECHNICO-COMMERCIAL STUDY. MEMBRANES, IN THE FORM OF HOLLOW FIBRES, WERE PREPARED WITH AN AROMATIC POLYIMIDE. THE RESULTS OBTAINED WITH PURE GAS AND SYNTHETIC GASEOUS MIXTURES ARE DISCUSSED.
