THE AIR CONDITIONING OF HOSPITAL BUILDINGS SHOULD MEET THE PHYSIOLOGICAL REQUIREMENTS OF PEOPLE AND THE TECHNICAL OPERATING CONDITIONS OF THE EQUIPMENT WHICH MAY RESULT IN A LOCALIZED OR GENERALIZED SOLUTION. THE COOLING AND FREEZING PROCESSES AND EQUIPMENT ARE APPLIED TO THE LABORATORIES OF TECHNICAL AND ANALYTICAL DEPARTMENTS: COOLING OF CENTRIFUGES, PRESERVATION OF REAGENTS AND PRODUCTS AT 277, 243 AND 193 K (4, -30 AND -80 DEG C) AND BELOW (BY MEANS OF LIQUID NITROGEN), MISCELLANEOUS SPECIAL APPLICATIONS. STANDARDS OR ANALYTICAL SPECIFICATIONS RESULT IN THE ADDITION OF EXTERNAL OR INTERNAL AIR CONDITIONING UNITS TO THE EQUIPMENT. FINALLY, THE PROBLEMS SPECIFIC TO HOT COUNTRIES ARE OUTLINED FOR AIR CONDITIONING, COLD STORAGE, FREEZING AND THE EQUIPMENT FOR TECHNICAL AND ANALYTICAL DEPARTMENTS. J.L.
