Applied absorption refrigerating machine.
Author(s) : OANA H.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Absorption chillers, which use environmental friendly natural refrigerants and use thermal energy to drive a process, are attracting increasing attention around the world and have been installed for many applications such as office buildings, factories and public facilities as a heat source for air conditioning because the peak electric demand can be cut by using absorption chillers since they are driven by thermal energy, not by electricity. The author is going to discuss how the chilled water outlet temperature and the cooling water inlet temperature have an effect on the flow rate, the concentration and the temperature of solution circulating inside an absorption chiller, and also discuss applications of the inverter considering such effect.
