Summary

This document includes the proceedings of the European Seminar on "Architectural design, building shell and energy efficiency", which was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in October 1991, under the auspices of the Commission of the European Communities, as part of the THERMIE Programme. There were 18 papers presented, particularly on insulating materials, windows, building cooling, the effect of the building envelope on the energy consumption, etc.
