Summary
Refrigerated display cabinets are an essential link in the cold chain, indeed, they are the last link before products are sold to customers and frozen foods tend to remain in refrigerated display cabinets for fairly long periods. Are the temperatures displayed on cabinets reliable? Do refrigerated display cabinets enable products to be maintained at standardized temperatures? Are display cabinets suitable for use under the prevailing ambient conditions? Are display cabinets in fact used? This review demonstrates that there are problems to overcome.
