Artificial snow: assessing "humid" temperature and production decision.
Neige de culture : évaluation de la température "humide" et décision de production.
Author(s) : ROUGEAUX M.
Type of article: Article, Review
Summary
The triggering of the making of artificial snow in a winter sport resort relies on a key parameter: humid temperature. However, figures related to this parameter are not directly accessible. So equipment makers integrate probes and software in installations, enabling calculations of the humid temperature next to each area to be supplied with snow. Scientific and technical fundamental principles are summarized.
