Type of monograph: Report

Summary

This report presents the results of cooperative research between ASHRAE and GARD Analytics, Inc. The objectives of the research project were: a) to compare various unitary air-conditioning system humidity control configurations in terms of humidity control performance and operating costs; and b) develop guidelines to help identify the important application characteristics and climate factors that determine which option is most appropriate. In the appendices: section 4 humidity control options from phase I evaluation plan; detailed results of simulations; system performance data and charts.
