This user's manual has been developed as a companion document to the ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90-1-1999 but it can also be applied to the new version of this standard (ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-2001: see this Bulletin, reference 2002-1141). The manual explains the standard, includes sample calculations, provides useful reference material, and offers information on the intent and application of the standard. It is abundantly illustrated, contains numerous examples and provides tables of reference data. A complete set of compliance forms and worksheets that can be used to document compliance with the code is included. A CD accompanies the manual and contains the EnvStd 4.0 computer program for doing building envelope trade-offs plus electronic versions of the compliance forms found in the User's Manual.
