Attempts in the reduction of exergy destruction in refrigeration systems.

Author(s) : DOBROVICESCU A.

Summary

The paper presents some ways of reducing irreversibility due to heat transfer across a finite difference of temperature and throttling in cryogenic refrigeration systems. The decrease of the irreversibility loss due to throttling in the throttling valve can be achieved by using an ejector and reducing in this way the pressure drop in the throttling valve.
