Future of the refrigeration cycle with expander.

Author(s) : ZHANG H., YU B.

Summary

The refrigeration cycle with the throttling device has more work power consumption and less refrigeration capacity than that with the expander. It is suggested that substituting the expander for the throttling device in the refrigeration cycle should be the efficient way for saving the energy of the refrigeration system. Up to now, the design and manufacturing of the two-phase expander seems to be possible technically. In the paper, these theoretical refrigeration cycles are analysed.
