Summary
The new EC Regulation No. 2037-2000 concerning potentially ozone-depleting substances came into force on October 1, 2000. It imposes a ban on CFCs and greatly restricts HCFCs; this regulation has forced the entire refrigeration and air-conditioning sector to rethink its strategy and daily activities.
