Summary

The paper describes a prototype absorption refrigerator fed thermally by a carbon or biomass boiler, in which the absorption cycle of the refrigerator and the thermosiphon cycle of a liquid heat-transfer medium from the boiler have been paired directly, in order to obtain a simple and original machine that was developed for the islands of Papua-New Guinea.
