Boiling heat transfer and air coil evaporator of carbon dioxide.

Summary

This paper presents two correlations for the boiling heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop of carbon dioxide flowing in small diameter tubes. They have been obtained by measurement and their deviations are within the ranges of plus or minus 30 and 10%, respectively. The simulation results demonstrate the obvious advantages of contour size reduction by employing small diameter tubes in carbon dioxide evaporators.
