Summary
The paper describes the experimental results obtained on the heat transfer in forced convective boiling for water/ammonia and ammonia/lithium nitrate mixtures flowing upward in an uniformly heated vertical tube. The results showed that the local heat transfer coefficients are strongly dependent on boiling number for the ammonia/lithium nitrate mixture and more dependent on quality and Lockhart-Martinelli parameter for the ammonia/water mixture under the analysed conditions.
