Summary

An experimental apparatus has been built for measuring boiling heat transfer coefficient of carbon dioxide (R744) in micro-tubes. The inner tube diameter is 1 mm. The test conditions are as follows: evaporating temperature is 10.5°C, heat flux from 8 to 36 kW/m2, mass flux from 200 to 1000 kg/m2.s and quality is from 0.1 to 0.9. Based on the experimental results, the boiling heat transfer coefficient has a negligible influence with mass flux and heat flux.
